Managing Directors

Paige Fern, Co-Founder and Executive Director
Paige graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service where she majored in international development of Southeast Asia and Africa. She is currently pursuing a Master's in International Educational Development at Columbia University.

As the Executive Director of EWB, Paige oversees the overall operations of the organization and works to ensure that the goals of EWB are met. Paige has traveled to over nine different countries including, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Kenya, and Tanzania to help women and children in desperate need. In addition to fulfilling her dreams of providing education to EWB's students she also works to combat the trafficking of women and children.

Fredrick "Bokey" Achola
Fredrick "Bokey" Achola oversees EWB's Kenya programs. He was Kenya's welterweight champion in 1991 and fell one match short of making the 1992 Olympic team. He's the founder and driving force behind the Mombasa Olympic Youth program, known by the acronym MOYO, to empower and educate youths through sports. He applies his skills as a social worker to ensure that all the needs of the youth who participate in his program are met.

Viet Dang
Viet Dang is EWB Vietnam's in-country liaison and the director of the Global Volunteer Network—Vietnam. Viet earned his university degree from the University of Danang and has dedicated his life to orphans and street children. Most of Viet's family was killed from landmines that were never demined after the war.

Mr. Hai
Mr. Hai oversees all of EWB's operations in Central Vietnam. He works with the local government and our school staff to ensure that all the needs of our students are met.
