What Is EWB?

EWB is a student led non-profit organization, which provides educational access to marginalized women and children in the developing world. We strongly believe in the power of students to effect positive change in the world. EWB develops and implements programs that help alleviate the suffering of youth living in difficult circumstances and to empower them to reach their full potential. Education Without Boundaries is led by a growing network of young people using grassroots techniques to support the communities most in need in the developing world.

Our Mission

EWB harnesses the potential of youth as catalysts of social change. We educate and empower youth with the tools needed to make positive contributions to their communities. We create, sustain, and expand educational opportunities to youth in the communities most in need in developing countries.

Our Vision

EWB envisions a world in which people from all over the world connect, collaborate, and innovate in order to facilitate the sharing and transfer of ideas and resources. By partnering well-trained, resource-rich volunteers and donors with dedicated, idea-rich at-risk youth, EWB implements locally tailored programs designed to promote sustainable social change.

• We believe in the capacity of the world's poor youth to creatively and successfully create their own futures.
• We believe every level of educational opportunities should be universally available. Educational access should not be based solely on religion, race, ethnicity, gender or socioeconomic position.
• We believe that the education of young people is a catalyst that helps end the cycle of poverty and violence by giving future generations the basic tools needed to contribute to society socially, politically, and economically.
• We believe expanding educational opportunities plays a key role in securing social, political, and economic stability, which, in turn, leads to sustainable and prolonged development.
• We believe in the commitment, passion, and capability of people in the western world to affect the pattern of injustice, illiteracy, and inequality in the developing world.
